Time for another upgrade.

So im thinking of upgrading again, maybe a big upgrade. Im looking at going from my fx-4100 and cheap mobo to an i7 4770k and z87. Im also wanting to change my 6770 to one of the new 270x and also get an SSD ( No idea why i havent got one yet) Im wondering if it will be easy for me to change the parts over by just clicking the components and screwing the new ones in. I am good with circuit wiring so i understand the wiring side of things. I only have a 450w psu so will i have to upgrade that as i have 2 other SATA drives and 4 sticks of ram(12gb) plus some LEDs on the case fan. Im also looking to overclock and will the triple heatpipe for £19 be sufficient to overclock lighly, as its my first time i dont want to go overboard with it. I also have the T900 case if that matters.

Im hoping to be able to play new games like BF4 and AC4 so will this run on ultra 60fps? Im hoping not to have to upgrade for atleast another 2 years minimum,

Also is there any resale value on my old parts or do i just put them in the skip?

Any thoughts on how this will be? Also, how do i do it xD I tried the upgrade existing pc section like last time but i cant order new motherboards or processor from there so?

Might be just as well going for a new computer and try to sell your old one for 3 or 4 hundred.
I would go for a better GPU than the 270X before bothering about an SSD or overclocking ,something like the GTX 780 with an I5 4670 processor along with 8GB RAM.
Overclocking the CPU won't really improve gaming performance that much anyway if any.

I really dont do much gaming as ive bought the Xbox one so i dont think i will need a 780 for games. Although i play alot of strategy games but my 6770 runs them fairly smooth. Maybe something like a 280x or the 4gb 770? I was hoping to spend about £800-900 so if i sell my old pc for 300-400 i have 1200-1300 to play with.
Also if i put my 3tb HDD from my current pc with all my films music and games will i just be able to fit it into my new pc and take off like its nothing? Leaving my 1tb HDD for boot drive so it has windows 7 onit? My pc also has 12gb of ram init so i will take out the 8gb pack and pop it into my new pc and leave my old one with 4gb.

Edit : I have since changed this to the 2gb edition of the 770 as it is £50 less, however after reading other reviews i have seen that because i plan to tri screen maybe 4gb with help that better?

Same advice as Vanthus. I would upgrade bits of your existing pc rather than getting a new one. If you don't do much gaming the amount you are spending seems excessive unless you need the pc for other uses. You could get a better PSU, an FX-6300 and a better gpu for around £300.

2473hs?If money is not an issue buy a new desktop. I just don't think is cost effective at all whether you sell your current components or not. An i7 would be ideal if you are doing heavy video editing, for gaming an FX-6300 will be plenty. You also mentioned you don't do much gaming so I am not certain what other uses you may have but the GTX 770 is a great card if you want to max demanding games at high settings.

2473hs is a monitor so i can have 3 of them. I dont do video editing but planning to play demanding games and i wouldnt be happy playing on med grahics plus i want it future proof for upto 3 years.

A GTX 770 seems overkill for playing games on medium settings but will definitely last for 3 years. If you don't do any editing I really don't see the need for an i7 or an FX-8350, an FX-6300 will be fine.

I meant not cost effective in terms of upgrading for something that will not provide a noticeable improvement for his intended use.

If i spend £750 and just upgrade im left with alot of parts that no one wants but if i spend £1300 i can sell my old pc for £350 or so and only spend £200 more for alot better and brand new system?

It is really up to you, £750 seems a lot to upgrade. An i5 + R9-280x or GTX 770 would be a nice system but an FX-6300 with the same gpu will offer close performance for most games. If you are set for a new system just go for it.

Ok thanks both of you. Im going to get the i7 as i have the money so why not. Im sure your right about the 6300 but i dont want to have old parts and i have a friend who is looking for a cheap gaming rig for minecraft and LoL so im going to sell this to him. Rep both thanks
