Just something that i was thinking after buying an IPS 60 hz monitor. Im the guy that prioritize colour and quality thats why I chose the IPS instead of TN 144hz. However, my pc gpu is gtx 1080 so without doubt it can utilize the 144hz.

There are IPS 144hz but the price is beyond my budget. So i was just wondering whether i made a good choice. I heard that having 144hz monitor is amazing but i dont want to put aside the colour and quality. So what do you guys think about this?

I would have personally gone for the 144Hz TN, the difference in a good quality TN panel these days and IPS is nothing like it used to be.

Is a good quality 144Hz TN going to be within budget if a 144Hz IPS isn't? Genuine question btw, I'm not sure on the price differences between good TN & good IPS.

You can get TN 144Hz for about £200. I'm not sure if they're that good but the review looks fine. On the other hand I can only find IPS 144Hz around £500

You can only find IPS 144hz for £500 because there are no 1080p 144hz IPS panels, so everything you're looking at is 1440p.

Recently picked myself up a 144hz TN BenQ ZOWIE XL2720B and I love it, it's so good and I can't say I notice alot of difference in the colour quality, admitting though, that it's not something I focus on alot, I would however notice if the screen quality wouldn't be as good as expected.
