The day finally arrived where my laptop is ordered. I've literally been holding on since May for this, to the point where I ordered a 980 (Desktop) Octane II Pro only to cancel it when there were going to be delays.

Finally the 4k screens are available so the button was pressed....

I've changed the adapter to the 330w. It says it's for the 980 only but I'm guessing this is a mistake. I think it's going to be a complete monster of a laptop

That moment when you realise your laptop is better than your desktop.

That HDD looks like it might be pretty slow (sata 2, 8mb cache, 5400rpm). The WD Black is only ~£20 more. Or if you think it's too loud, the Seagate SSHD is probably still faster regardless of the flash storage.

If I was to build a tower right now it would have a nearly identical spec so I don't think I could have gone with much better.

Yeah it'll be a bit of a drag but it's literally for storage so I'm not fussed about the speed. Cheap storage is all I'm after, I tend to rattle through these drives as space gets cheaper anyway
