Two questions.

I have two questions

One can the PSU overheat (because i get random shut downs and won't do the post when i turn it back on for an hour but when i look all the fans CPU graphics top and front fan are on) also I don't think it a CPU or GPU or mobo over heating as according to my software the highest my CPU got was 41C and gp 65C and mobo 29C

Second question should i be worried about a sound that comes from my PSU when i play games it sounds like this

I wouldn't expect a PSU to overheat on a 10 day old PC, to be honest I'd dare say it looks more likely that it's developed a fault. The best bet at this point would be to contact Tech Support for further assistance.

Think i should RMA as 3 calls and a few suggestions still the same problem. I do how ever know it is not a heating problem. I am shocked if it is a conflict of software for the random restarts when i play games as the only thing i have instaled is two games and steam. the staying off for hours i am not sure will get back if i notice anything different

I also like to say i think it maybe a CPU problem as I notcied just came back from work computer not been on all day hit the power switch everything comes on but the CPU fan 3-4 attempts later the cpu fan comes back on and it boots up no problem. Now I think (again I think) the CPU stops randomly or loses it power i don't know why and my computer shuts it self off which would explain the following why my computer decied to turn itself off even though the temputer seems fine. But hopefully support will get back to me tomrrow as they asked to see my log for system and application they said they get back to me today but ill phone tomorrow and see.

Yeah again the Computer went the CPU wouldnt spin so couldnt get past post now the CPU fan back up and running it the pc is back.

I wonder if my MB is like Some motherboards will not boot without detecting that the CPU fan is plugged in to prevent burning up the CPU. the reason I wonder this is because of my computer will turn it self off and then i can't turn it back on because as i said the CPU fan is not spnning but after a few tries it will begin to spin and i can boot up. It would explain why my COmputer just turns itself off as i aint always watching my CPU but if I understand it correctly if the CPU fan stops and my MB dectects that it might shut off to prevent the buring of the CPU.


Like right now just played DA 30 mins no problem wow 30 mins no probelm and black ops 10 mins no problem and the cpu level reached 36C. maybe it a lose wire or something interupting the connection to the CPU at times
