Hello ladies and gents,

I recently posted and people were very helpful, now my circumstances have changed again and i got a rather large tax rebate. My budget for a PC is now pretty much unlimited. I plan to run tripple monitor at 120 hz and this must be able to max out ALL games ( Crysis 3 is what comes to mind), I wondered if you could just check out the spec i've chosen, and... i want the I7 so please don't suggest an I5 to me :) main thing i'm concerned about is...the case, don't know much about them, the PSU and the cooling, I've gone for 1050W for the PSU just in case i need to upgrade in the future, I don't intend to overclock so i'm guessing the cooling is enough, although i'm concerned about the heat the SLI will throw out. Any suggestions or comments please post :)

The 680's all exhaust to the rear of the card (and therefore out of your case) so I wouldn't be overly concerned about the heat they will produce affecting other components. The 4Gb 680's are beasts of cards though so you'll likely not have to upgrade anytime soon!

It might be worthwhile upgrading the warranty? Not essential of course, but if you have a large budget and as you are getting very high end components it cant hurt to add a few years onto the warranty period from PCS.

Well if you want the i7 you may want to consider the i7-3770, it should perform better than the i7-3820 in more cpu intensive applications, for gaming the difference wouldn't be significant.

The storm trooper is a great case, the power supply seems a bit excessive even if you are planning to upgrade in the future unless you are thinking of tri-sli.

Depends on the game and settings, what do you consider good? I am running 3 screens with 2 x gtx 680 2gb and so far I have not encountered an issue running games but I don't check fps.

With the sound card and headphones you posted, how much of a difference would that make? i do appreciate a good sound system but i wouldn't consider myself a massive audiophile.

the trittons are an excellent choice, dolby digital does make a difference when gaming (at least for me). I though Tom was exagerating when he recommended the trittons but there are great.

well, you could go for a fully digital soundcard (PCI-E) and headset, like I suggested. Giving you Dolby digital 5.1 in all games. (Similar to watching a blu ray with a digital 5.1 speaker setup)

OR

you could spend a bit less, get a PCI-E analogue sound card, such as a ASUS DGX and a analogue gaming headset, and still get relatively good 5.1, but its not to the quality of Dolby 5.1

Adding a decent soundcard was probably the best upgrade i made to my PC. If i was spending that much on a rig, i'd certainly want the best everything. haha

Keynes has that Headset, so he can tell you how good it is. I have the older version and its amazing.
