Hey all,
So on my Octane IV, I had it set up fine using the 'CPU Memory OC' that comes with the Clevo Control Center to undervolt the CPU by -104mV. However, I had a couple of other issues with my computer and decided to do a full 'reset' (the option that removes all programs and files from the C drive and factory resets everything). After doing that, I re-installed the ControlCenter, but noticed I can't actually open the 'CPU Memory OC' app unless I have the Intel XTU app installed. So I installed that too and set the undervolt again to -104mV.
However, it now resets to 0mV on its own. I read that this is an issue with Intel XTU, but I didn't seem to have the issue in the past. I've also tried just setting the undervolt in the BIOS, but it still reset to 0mV, presumably because I still had XTU installed at that point.
I've now resorted to uninstalling Intel XTU and trying ThrottleStop set to run as a scheduled task at login every time I start my computer.
Is that the best way forward or is there a better fix? Perhaps just removing ThrottleStop so neither that or XTU are installed and then just setting it in the BIOS?
All of this means I can't access the 'CPU Memory OC' app from 'Control Center' leaving me with a useless extra button in my task bar too.
