Fortunately, have just measured under the desk and will fit nicely, you're right, compared to my old case it is hugh - best keep that from the wife until it arrives:)

Do make sure there is some breathing space as you wouldnt want to block the top vents of the haf x when it exhaust hot air out otherwise it will cause a rise in temps for the pc

I have just over 14cm of space between the case top and the underside of the desk - do you think that'll be enough?

Another question - regarding adding a second graphics card sometime in the future, will this fit on this MoBo with the pci-e wireless card there?

I could be wrong but looking at that motherboard i don't think you will be able to add a second gpu with the wi-fi card in there

Don't know why I didn't think to do this in the first place - just ran it through the configurator and it didn't come up with any problem spec'n 2 graphics cards along with a wireless pci-e card, so I guess it must be ok :)

only thing is it probably won't leave much of a gap for air intake for the fan i think the 570's are dual fans like the 580's

wont be room for pci card if you add another 570 so the pci-e is good as it is. as for room for some air, that should be fine as the haf x has a large side fan to cool it.

i just got a haf-x and i don't have a side fan on mine due to the titan fenir cpu cooler as i was told so what i was saying is more of a precaution to be on the safeside
