What's your max budget?

You can't upgrade your existing chassis, you'd need to get a new one.

OK, thanks Spydertracks. I'll keep her as is then as I have others. I'm just fond of her and would like the bootup time to be a little quicker.

Hi All,

I have an old PCSpecialist Viper III (Clevo P180HMx) with Core i7-2860QM CPU, 2 x GeForce GTX 560M GPU's and 2 x 4GB RAM.

I have just ordered a 3rd stick of memory to make the Working From Home experience a little better.

I was wondering what GPU upgrade options are available? I'm a light gamer so don't need the latest gaming laptop which is why I'd prefer to stick an older but better GPU setup in it.

Cheers
Chris

The only options you have are the HD6970m or HD6990m, but they're very expensive for how poor they are by todays standards, personally I would just put the money into a new laptop. That one is a LONG way past it's prime. The processor will bottleneck any gaming (as well as the gpu)

It's a 10 year old laptop! Even on a desktop it would have been replaced by now.

Just furthermore, none of those GPU’s have driver support, the ones mentioned are also from 2011. Plus you’d need a compatible BIOS to recognise the updated GPU which is an additional cost and risk.
