After 3-4 hours of playing Skyrim with everything on ultra, my 6990M is hitting 102c.
Considering I chose the Arctic Silver compound when I ordered it, this suggests something is wrong.
A quick Google for 6990M temps suggests mid 80's to low 90's is the normal max, even with a mild overclock.
If I do the FN+1 trick, the fans soon bring the temps crashing down, but I shouldn't have to do this as often as I am doing.
What do we think? Open her up, repaste and refit the HSF? Or is it the fan table because my BIOS is old?
