Vortex II 15.6" - Replacing optical drive with an SSD

I bought the Vortex II in my sig in september last year when SSD prices were mental, so I stuck with the HDD/DVD-RW option at the time.

Now decent SSDs have come down a fair bit, I wish to swap my optical drive for an SSD.

I remember seeing somewhere on here that you sell blanking plates to cover the drive bay aperture, but can't seem to find them anywhere...

Like Tom said you will need a caddy to install the drive into the dvd bay.Be aware the dvd drive bay might only be SATA 2.0 (SATA 3 Gbit/s).Ideally you should install the SSD in the primary drive bay.
If your going to install the OS on the SSD it would mean either a clean install or using something like Paragon Migrate OS to SSD,some SSD's come supplied with transfer software.

As far as I am aware, all optical drives (bar slot loaders) have a clipped-on bezel for appearances. The caddy may have the same slots into which the bezel can clip.
