Ordering
The pcspecialist website itself is perfect. The ordering system and tracking system are both good and I especially liked how you could track delivery information from your order page.
Customer Service
Anyone whose ever ordered from pcs or knows someone who has, has heard of the excellent customer service and my order was no different. I had to ring up a few times due to my online order status not being updated (Info below) and they were very nice, quick and knowledgeable.
There was only one problem I had and that was that my order was cancelled (Neither my nor PCS' fault) However I was not informed of this until I rung up myself and this meant that my order was delayed slightly.
Speed
I ordered 3 day dispatch with my order and my order was dispatched on the 4th day, This was due to the delay and wasn't anyone's fault. So i didn't complain.
Delivery
Like other people i was slightly worried about Yodel as many people have had issues. On the day my order was meant to be dispatched the tracking said that my parcel had been "Rerouted to a different courier" which did have me worried, however the parcel arrived the day after dispatch at roughly half 2 in the afternoon.
Build Quality
The build quality of the laptop is excellent, It feels extremely sturdy and apart from a few issues i've had with the network card (Fixed with a driver reinstall) there have been no issues. It has coped with everything I have thrown at it.
Performance
The laptop performs exceptionally. I have been unable to run any proper benchmark yet however I will be doing so shortly and I shall update this to show the results. I have however run Crysis 2 with Extreme settings (1080p) and it ran flawlessly (35fps min usually 50-60fps)
I was also worried that cooling may be an issue however the fans are powerful and the bottom side of the laptop stays cool at all times, as well as idle temperatures of the cpu and gpu being around 40c (Currently 37c)
Display and Sound
I decided not to change the display as I tend to like glossy screens and can say that I have had no issues with reflections being distracting (even with the sunlight
) The full HD screen is nice and looks extremely clear.
The sound quality is excellent, the laptop has a small sub woofer that really increases the sound quality.
