Hello... Im a student and I am planning to get a laptop that would help me with my work... I travel fairly often between houses and I have a budget of £1,000 on me. I am going to use the laptops for playing games. Question is... is this laptop a good deal or do you have any other suggestions? the laptop is not going to be out of the plug for more than 2-3 hours so is it going to be able to last this long on its battery? Im hoping for quick reviews.... thank you for your help.

I think you'll be lucky to manage 3 hours on battery while doing anything with the laptop.

I would recommend you try and find the extra to get a 7200rpm hdd. Maybe swap the 1600 ram for 1333?

It's out of your budget but if you really want to game I'd try and find the extra for the AMD 6990m, it rocks :D

By 15" I guess you mean the L502x, from what I have gathered it might have a slightly better screen but thats about all you would get from it. Gaming wise the 560 is way ahead of the 540, the L502x is cheaper from the outlet but overall isnt going to be as powerfully and the 540 will start to age quickly. If they had an upgraded 15" alienware that would be a good options but sadly they run 260 to 280 which are also quiet old and run the older i7 CPUs.

IF you search for Clevo/Sager laptops then you will find how good the build is, Clevo supply barebone laptops to suppliers such as PCS and they just fill it with hardware and ship it.

Hardly any laptops with 560M support it sadly, I think I only found one but it cost alot more. Would be great if they did, hope it helps.
