Vortex II - Jumping mouse trackpad

I've a new vortex II 15" running windows 7 x64 and it's great bar one annoying problem.
The mouse pointer seems to jump up and click on it's own every now and then.

I thought it was me catching the trackpad but I've seen it do it without me touching the computer.

My research suggests an updated trackpad driver from the manufacturer would work but I can't identify where this would be or where to locate it.

Anybody else have this problem?

Hmmm... just wondering as the machine is a Clevo based unit if the drivers available on their site would be suitable?

Or I could dig out the drivers cd that came with the laptop...


Found a specific trackpad driver on that and will give it a go.

Yeah, same thing happens with my Optimus II. I'm typing, then it randomly clicks and I'm typing somewhere else!

Well since installing the updated driver supplied on the driver dvd I've not had any more jumpig problems and gained some funky gesture based functionality.

I normally turn mine off when using a mouse.
