Vortex ii spec check

Hi all, been toying with the idea of buying a custom laptop for a while - had problems with a Sony F11Z1E I bought 18 months ago, after a long drawn out battle, I've finally received a refund of £1400. So I thought 'heck' lets do it!

Below is the spec I've chosen, I've already hit the button to buy - but I've been told I can still amend the order if needed.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Cheers

well you have a very high end laptop their, not much could be upgraded really. If you were looking to save some cash you could downgrade a few things very easily with little loss in performance. But i presume your happy spending that much as you have already ordered. Enjoy.

Thanks Manta, I did think I could downgrade, but I do a fair bit of gaming, and for my job - a lot of 3D rendering in AutoCAD. Absolutely love pcs, didn't even think of it until after a mate told me he'd had a great experience off of here.

The waiting is painful though. Haha

Well, it's now moved to pre-production - cannot wait! I'll make sure I do a proper review when it gets here, as I've benefited from reading others on the forum.

Just a note, is 240 gb enough for you? Because you may as well make use of the extra hdd bay and get a 500gb black Scorpio, maybe halve the ssd size if necessary? Looks like a very solid spec? Enjoy it!

Ah sorry, forgot to mention - I have a 500gb Momentus XT I took out of my old laptop - I'll be using that for the majority of storage. The 240gb SSD is for games and the OS.
Thanks Music.
