Hi,

I can't get my webcam to work any longer on my Windows 7 Vortex II. I set up Skype when I bought it a while ago, then I didn't use it. Now I need it, and it's not working :'(

I've checked device manager, hidden devices too, no joy, used Fn+F10 and I get the popup saying On or Off but no driver request or camera. Any ideas?

Thanks

Mario

Have you tried using other software such as youcam to see whether the problem persists or checked the relevant settings to make sure that the built in camera is selected. The only other option is to ring pcs in case there is a fault with the camera or to purchase a separate video cam

When you checked Device Manager did the webcam show up in there? It should be listed under Imaging Devices. If the webcam is not listed in Device Manager at all (even under hidden devices) I think there's probably a hardware problem with the webcam itself.

If it is listed under Imaging Devices try updating the driver.
