Vortex III 15.6 Diaplay Problem

Hi Guys

I got my vortex 3 only today and it has a trial version windows on it. I did a silly thing and disabled the Intel display adapter thinking that my nVidia 680M display adapter would kick in! But nothing happened, the display won't turn on now! Please advise.

Hi Rangs,

One of the Fn + number keys should enable / disable optimus. Other than that, i'm not too sure. There should be a way to change the level of detection of intensive applications to enable to 680M. Looking into it.

Hi dangro474, Thank you for your reply. The display activated on its own after restarting the PC for about 10 times!! Not sure what had happened. But I've installed my OS on it now. All seems Ok. But my Vortex 15.6 has one crazy problem with it. In the keyboard, the button where it has "@" as the secondary input (shift + button = @), the output of this button is double inverted quotes(")!!! Somehow the functionality for these 2 secondary inputs are swapped!!!

Looks like the keyboard language has been changed,to change it back,try pressing "left alt"+"shift" key,failing that,
type intl.cpl in the Start Search box, and then press enter,
or click on "region and language" in control panel.
select "keyboard and languages" tab/change keyboards/set the default input language to English (united kingdom)/apply/ok.

Also a quick query reg power button, is it very rigid? I need to press it really hard, sometimes 3-4 times to get it working! Not sure if its a problem, will give a week and see how it behaves...
