Vortex III and Windows 8

Hi all,

I am looking at buying a Vortex III/P170EM with Windows 8 and wondered how people are finding this combination.

In particularl, any driver issues etc I should be aware of or does everything work in terms of Windows and Vortex components ?

Only issue I have is the metro apps failing to work time and time again. Meaning you have to refresh your install and losing all your installed softeware. But ive chosen to ignore this now and never even look at the win 8 apps. The rest of the system is fine by me.

As far as i know the Vortex 3 and Windows 8 combo seems to work quite well, i have a colleague with that and he says everything works fine except from the BETA ATI Drivers, when using them the brightness controls on the Screen do not seem to function properly.

Nvidia i have heard of very little problems.

Did you have an idea on which GPU you were eyeing up?

I think you would be safe enough then, wish i'd gone Nvidia.
