I have actually ordered this laptop, and just wanted people's opinions on how well they think it should run as a gaming setup?

I did have the "killer 1102" wireless, but as this was out of stock i opted to go for the intel 6300 to i get a faster build time (killer's weren't back in stock until 15.08.12)... Also looking for anyone's opinions on how big a difference this is going to make?

Many thanks in advance for your replies!

That's a beast alright :)

You chose an expensive CPU, and tbh the only difference between the 3720QM and the 3820QM is the CPU clock rate (2.6 vs 2.7 Ghz) and the L3 cache (6 vs 8 MB).

If I were you I'd choose a cheaper CPU and invest in an SSD, which will be more beneficial towards gaming as it will help loading times and overall responsiveness of your system, whereas you won't notice a difference between the 2 CPUs gaming-wise.

Drop RAM to 8GB, select silver warranty as a minimum, stick with default wireless = perfect gaming spec.

Very close to what I have been looking at but with blu ray and SSD instead of HDD. I agree about CPU go for the 3720. £148 for 0.1 ghz is better spent.
