Vortex III - 'Hotkey' software no longer working, unable to change backlight colour

Hi, as the title says, recently I stopped being able to change the backlight on my keyboard (it randomly reverted to the stock blue and has not since worked)

I have uninstalled and re-installed the latest driver from the clevo website, with no luck - the on-screen indicators when changing volume, caps lock etc have also disappeared.

There is a hotkey icon in the icon tray as before, as well as hotkey.exe running when I check that, it just doesn't appear to be doing anything. While this is not a massive issue, it is really a bit of a pain, as I quite liked having the indicators and being able to set the colour.

Any ideas? I've been unable to find a solution that doesn't involve re-installing, and while I'd like to install W8 in a few months I'd rather not do it sooner than I'd like.

Its 100% a software problem this sadly, have you tried completely removing the hotkey driver from the control panel? - once you have done this it might be then worth trying to install a different version of the application - see if there is a slightly older version on the Clevo website, if that fails, try the one on the CD and let us know how it goes.

If not, it may be a sad case of a reinstall.
