I am about to order a Vortex III
with two drives fitted.
1st Hard Disk 120GB INTEL® 520 SERIES SSD, SATA 6 Gb/s (upto 550MB/sR | 520MB/sW)
2nd Hard Disk 750GB SEAGATE MOMENTUS XT HYBRID, SATA 6 Gb/s, 32MB CACHE (7200
rpm)
I plan to leave the SSD as the full 120 GB containing the OS and programs
I don't think there is any benefit in partioning it,
Not the way ssd work, according to my understanding, but I have been wrong before.
is there any point in partitioning the second drive under win 7 or win 8?
I am happy to leave it as one big drive but I remember I use to arrange the partion sizes to
keep the block sizes small [or something - it's a long time ago] to avoid wasting disc space.
I don't know if this is relevant anymore under win 7/8
What would anyone recommend?
Thanks
