Vortex IV USB 3.0 (Windows 8)

This may be an Windows issue issue but.....

I took delivery of a Vortex IV last week with Windows 8 64-bit pro included, and I'm having trouble with the USB 3.0 ports on the laptop. I'm not able to use USB 3.0 devices in the USB 3.0 ports. I can use the USB 3 devices in the USB 2 port (as a USB 2 device) and can use USB 2 devices in the USB 3 ports.

Had to install the OS myself, so not sure if there's anything in addition to the supplied Clevo drivers (all of which I've installed) that I'm missing.

Cheers.

Yes there is indeed an unrecognised devices but pointing it at the supplied Clevo drivers isn't picking it up. Have tried Intel drivers also).

Open Device Manager, right-click on the unknown device and select Properties. Click the Details tab and from the Property list select Hardware IDs. You will see a VEN_nnnn&DEV_nnnn entry (where nnnn are hex numbers). These identify the Vendor and Device type of the unknown device.

In a web browser go to the PCI Database. If you enter the Vendor ID in the Vendor search box (and then click on the vendor name) you'll get a list of all devices (Device IDs ) for that vendor. Or, if you enter the Device ID into the Device search box you'll get a list of all vendors using that device ID. This should enable you to locate the correct driver, by visiting the vendor's website for example. Note: The list is not necessarily exhaustive and you may not find your device, you should at least find the vendor though.

I hope that helps? :)
