Hi all,
I would like to understand why my 9750H CPU never reaches more than 3.99GHz (max. all core boost is 4.0GHz) even when the workload is spread on less than all cores. According to HWInfo, even when only 2 or 3 cores are being used, the frequency never goes above 3.99GHz. In such a case the 9750H is designed to turbo up to 4.3-4.4GHz but I have never seen that since I have owned this laptop.
I have tried playing with Throttlestop, parking cores, looked at BIOS settings, etc but it seems there is no way to use the full speed that the CPU is designed for. For a laptop designed for gaming, this is really a shame.
Am I missing something, or was the CPU crippled by the laptop manufacturer for some reason ?
Has anyone else expercienced the same issue with a Vortex IX or other CLEVO laptop with the same CPU ?
I am more than happy to post benchmark results or such if necessary.
Many thanks for any feedback.
David
