Vortex LE - backlit keyboard

My understanding was the LE had a backlit keyboard and the vortex 3 had a LED keyboard,

But i can't seem to find out how it works?

No. The Vortex III LE does not have a back-lit keyboard, only the non-LE Vortex. And the backlighting is given by LED lights - on the non-LE Vortex.
