[Vortex Series: 15.6] Backlit keyboard : 1 sector failed

Hello Ladies, Gentlemen,


I purchased a few months ago a Vortex Series: 15.6 (otherwise known as a Clevo P150SM-A, I believe) : I just noticed that the back light of the keyboard failed in the left sector (middle and right sectors are working fine). Any idea on what might cause this? I tried changing settings, turning it off and back on, but it's as far as my fixing-skills go when dealing with backlit keyboards

Hello Vorian,

Sorry to hear your havng problems, if you have tried all the setting its etc and its just not illuminating i doubt there is much more you could do to fix it. If you give PCS a call on Monday they should be able to help you out.

You might have to send it back unless your comfortable changing the keyboard yourself its not a difficult task but if your not comfortable with it then you might have to send it back.

You could always try the keyboard connections to make sure its connected properly but i think thats slim, there should be instructions in the manual you got to remove the keyboard.
