There is 10 months of warranty left on this system and is mint condition, I'd give condition an A-. Would you guys say it is worth at least £1800? Original price was £3,985.

I don't think you can get an accurate valuation since it really depends on what a prospective buyer is willing to pay. PCS can transfer the warranty but looking at your spec I would assume that your 2 years cover for parts is running out soon. I personally wouldn't pay £1800 for a 2nd hand laptop in case there are issues after the warranty expires and difficult to assess the quality of the conponents due to the internal components not being as accessible as in a desktop. You could try eBay Or gumtree

Thanks for the response, mate.

System is in sound condition, and system can be opened to assess the quality of the components.

There is still 9 months of 2 years collect and return, plus parts.

It is on eBay.

The problem you've got is that opening up the laptop to look at components is not going to tell a prospective buyer their genuine condition.

I'm also not sure asking people on here what they'd sell it for is relevant or helpful. Everyone will be entirely different in their view of what they'd want for something, and what they'd pay for something. I'm inherently greedy and hate waste ... meaning I wouldn't sell something like that for less than £2k. But then I wouldn't buy something like that for more than £800-900 simply because it's second hand (in fact, I probably just wouldn't buy it full stop because it's second hand).

So in your position I just suck it up and keep it because I wouldn't want to 'lose' money.

I'm assuming buying a £4k laptop means you're probably not desperate for cash, so out of interest... why sell a £4k laptop after just only a year of owning it?

Personally I wouldn't pay £1800 for it new, but that's just me being tight :p I'd agree with Slim, if I was selling it I would try to get as much as possible, however looking at it from a buyers perspective I wouldn't pay any more than £800 top end for it as a second hand laptop regardless of its initial purchase price.

I'm going for a desktop.

That is why, I hope someone in my locality purchases it, so he can come and look/assess it himself. Luckly, eBay has a return policy if someone does detect any last-minute defects with the system.
