Waiting for Pc Specialist to complete my laptop's shipping address

I do not know where else to write this as I have sent multiple emails to various department and also to [email protected].

To sum up, after setting up my profile online (with a complete address), I ordered a laptop on January 29 and it has been shipped to an incomplete address (street number is missing) on February 18.

The problem is that it has been more than a week since the parcel arrived in my city and Pc Specialist has not solved this problem yet.

Furthermore, on February 25 I have been said by the customer service that the mistake was solved but the laptop is still stuck in the courier's depot due to the absence of street number in the shipping address. Very unprofessional behavior to say the least.

I find that after being pleased with PC Specialist building times I am now VERY disappointed by this complete lack of after-sale customer service: my emails are not being read at all, I can see it on my profile.

It's impossible to blame couriers for this delay as communicating the correct and complete shipping address is part of the service offered by any e-commerce company.

I hope that this will be my last complaint.

I am sorry for any mistake in my English, but I am Italian.

I assume the parcel was sent out of the UK. Did you enter the correct address when you place your order? Did you try to call PCs?

Thank you for your answer.

The laptop has been sent to Italy via DPD and then carried by BRT (Italian courier). I have made few phonecalls to BRT after I noticed the address query: they said that DPD communication is very efficient and that they have not received any messages from DPD referring to my parcel. The last time I phoned them was yesterday around 5 pm.

I have not phoned PC Specialist since they told me they already solved the problem by communicating with DPD on February 25, I do not understand why I should make an international phonecall as there is an online messaging service advertised.

Of course I have entered the right address, I checked it few times and yes, it is correct and there is the street number in it.

If you know that the parcel has arrived in your city can you not go an collect it from wherever it is?

no unfortunately I can't that's why I'm here ubuysa...

anyway how would you feel in my shoes? would you feel fine?

it seems to me that PC Specialist has no interest in solving this issue and it is really upsetting.

I do realise that it's upsetting, I'd be pretty angry too, but you say that the package has arrived in your city. If you know that why can't you get it shipped to you or go and collect it? It's not like it's completely lost.

I have no right to make any changes in the shipping address as I am the receiver, it is the sender who has the right to do it, shipping rules are international.

What I know is that it takes very little time to change it and, being PC specialist an e-commerce company, they surely have a company profile with DPD (which I assume is their shipping partner).

I guess that this operation goes more or less like this:

1) login into PC Specialist's DPD profile
2) insert shipping or order reference number
3) select shipping address options
4) change shipping address
5) done

8 working days have passed since the address query showed up and this has not been done yet.

EDIT: now I notice that only on PC Specialist's order tracking page the status changed from

REQUEST FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS 23-02-2016 @ 20:53:00 International Ec

to

01-03-2016 @ 21:07:00 DPD Customer

without any status........

would you explain me what "DPD Customer" mean?

thank you

Now I understand better. Since only PCS can change the shipping address you need to call PCS as soon as possible. Email may not get you the fast response you want and these fora are not an official support channel, PCS employees do not always visit here. Phoning them is your best option.

I realise this means an expensive international phone call, but that's one of the disadvantages of buying from PCS when you're not in the UK.

Shipping rules are international: I cannot make any change in the shipping address as I am the receiver, it is the sender who owns this right.

I am losing my patience as nothing is being done and I am getting no response from PC Specialist customer care at all.

As I have already written, any e-commerce company is offering a service that includes also correct shipping coordinates: it seems obvious to me that if wrong shipping coordinates are set, this is affecting their entire service quality.

EDIT:
the laptop has been sent back to the UK.
I have no words to express my disappointment.
At least 10 more days to wait and a nice trip back and forth to raise the risk of mishandling due to a careless employee who said he did something he didn't actually do.
8 days to get an answer to an email.
I let you rate the service.

I really do think you could have helped yourself my calling PCS directly, email is not the best way to contact them.

as an update, DPD failed to include the street number for the second time!!

EDIT: I got the parcel delivered on March 16, this time the communication happened and the missing data finally showed up in the delivery address. The negative side is that I have ordered and paid for the laptop just 50 days ago.
