Want to Build a new PC

I got recommended this site from a friend as I'm basically a newbie at Computers
My friend has basically had his first kid so hes handed me his old monitor and accessories, their relatively new, 1080p monitor, But of course I had a big pay out from work so I'm looking to get a really top end gaming computer and my budget is £2500 just for the desktop, If I could get a hand that would be great

With that budget you can get a decent 1440p monitor plus 1440p build. The 1080p screen will hold back any modern build.

Hi guys thanks for replying, pretty much gaming, I'm not gonna be buying the new Gen consoles and will be solely playing on this, I know the monitor is hold but right now I just want to get the desktop out of the way and pick up a nice monitor on my next paycheck

If you wanted to max out the budget, just up the GPU to 2080ti, but then you'll need a very healthy budget for a decent monitor to match, talking minimum of £600 really:

Hi thanks for taking the time for these builds, I'll definitely see about ordering soon, Lots of PC shops are doing sales soon as this Lockdown is slowly going away, So I could see myself getting a bigger monitor with a higher resolution on a discount 😀

I would post back with anything you are thinking of buying. Pairing the monitor with the system is paramount to get the best value and performance out of both. They are very much linked.

As above, my suggestion would be the 2080 Super paired with an Ultrawide.

The mecca is the 2080Ti paired with a Super Ultrawide (but that would be £1k).
