want to buy a gaming laptop at a good price, need help!

i am looking at the vortex IV and have read some reviews about it and was pretty amazed with the price of the system when looking at the hardware. before looking at pc specialist i was looking at Alienware laptops and for the price of over £1200 i was getting rubbish graphics cards on a 14inch.

i was going to stick with the gtx 770m graphics card but i am not sure as for about £100 more i can get the 8970 and i have read it is a slightly more powerful card. I want to buy the 780m but the price of the laptop becomes to high and my max budget is £1300 excluding warrenty and stuff.

i need the laptop to take to uni to do:

. 3D animation

. web designing

. video editing

. and some gaming

i want to be able to run games on ultra settings and get atleast 30fps but i am not sure if its powerful enough?

any suggestions on how i can improve this model or choose another model with a higher spec and lower price?

the size of the screen doesnt matter to me as long as its 1080p

You can check benchmarks online to have an idea on what to expect from the gpu. I would suggest at least silver warranty and a Scorpio black drive.

If you can stretch your budget another £100 then have a look at the review Vortex IV. You'll get more RAM, a blu-ray player and the 780M.

i looked at the review version but its more then £100 extra. it becomes over £1600. too much money and out of my budget

The review model IS £1449...it just reverts to that expensive price if you try and configure it which will be what you are trying to do. You have to press 'order' and the discount will remain in place.

You have to press the 'Order now' button on the review page to get it, if you go to the 'customize it' you will lose the discount as you are not allowed to change any of the hardware of the review machines to if you want to keep the discount.

There is no 15" version in the review section so no you cant.
The review prices are only for specific exact configurations that have been reviewed in various places (the Vortex IV was reviewed on KitGuru.net)
