Ok well I'm ordering a new pc soon and this is the specs i am pretty much finalised upon, I'm ordering my own SSD and GTX 680 2gb about 2 weeks after the comp arrives due to lack of cash at the moment (wont have the money till then but i want to order this pc asap because it might not arrive in time for Christmas if u include build/delivery times) so im just wondering is there anything i should consider changing? i.e. idk about the motherboard, i wont be putting it into SLI as ill just run on 1 GTX 680 and it will be used for high end gaming (on single monitor though) I'd rather not have the Total come anything above £850 unless its necessary ya know? :p thanks in advance!

Well,if you want to save money you don't need the K version of the CPU,unless planning on overclocking,in which case you would need to upgrade the CPU cooler, also 8GB of ram would suffice.

Dont think overclocking really necessary if i only intend on gaming right? fairly sure 3.4GHz shud suffice or am i wrong?

Yes,but what I'm saying is you don't need the K version if not overclocking.the non K version is cheaper.

i know what your saying, the K version is the unlocked one so you can change the multiplier to allow overclocking, so what i was trying to confirm is that overclocking when the use of the pc is gaming, is basically unnecessary?
