I'd say if you are gaming getting another 580 would be the next upgrade. You would probably need to upgrade the psu to a 1050w though. Otherwise, maybe an SSD?

I was thinking of an SSD or another GTX 580, what else would I need if I got another 580 (Besides a better PSU) ?

I don't think you need to upgrade too much, if you were looking to upgrade just for kicks i would think about a SSD for your OS + main software.

A GPU upgrade would also require a PSU upgrade or you could sell the 580 and put that money towards a 7970, though that would really be a bit of a waste as it's only a few months old.

But isn't a 580 better than a 7970?

just 1050w psu :) problem is they kinda expensive, as well as another 580 ya looking bout 400 quid.

Would it be worth it though?

7970 is a bit better than a 580 I think, but not certain how much faster,

worth it? if ya like me, and money burns a hole in ya pocket lol, course it is. hahah

Have a think, they prices are going lower all the time, as mantadog said earlier ya could sell the 580 and get a 7950/70, two 7950's only need a 650w psu, so it saves you uprading the psu.

There isn't really any point in upgrading unless your computer is
struggling with something or other you want to run.

It's not struggling but I would like to be able to max out nearly all games with the maximum amount of FPS, I might wait for nVidia to release their 7xxx series.

Probably wise, i think Nvidia will come out with cards that outperform AMD but as always they will charge you for it. Worst case you can swap your 580 for a 680 or enjoy a cut price 7970. Though really your 580 is more than enough for now, it wont do you any harm to wait it out for a few months yet, the prices are only going to go one direction.
