My budget was around 2k but because it's impossible to get a high spec Card atm opted for a lower spec 580. Primarily it will be used for gaming but also the odd bit of working in UE4

What screen are you pairing this with? What resolution and refresh or make and model if you're unsure? It's only really the 3080 and 3060ti that are hard to get hold of.

I'm still looking for a monitor actually, I'm looking at going for one of the latest AMD cards but cannot find any in stock at MRSP.

I am looking at a 144 refresh monitor for when I get a higher card

So you don't need a high power GPU at all for 1080p, a 3060 would be ample and they're in very good stocks, there's hardly any wait time for them.

Nothing is at MSRP at the moment, there's a worldwide shortage on most PC components to everything is hyper inflated. It won't be until next year likely that things start to normalise according to recent reports, but even that's a new guess, could well be extended.

But in your budget, you can easily afford a 1080p system at the moment.

Just a further, 1080p isn't really supported anymore, it's an incredibly poor experience for any modern machine, there is only one GPU that actually supports it which is the 3060. It's really a dead resolution.

I would strongly recommend looking at 1440p 144Hz as a minimum.

If you do, just swap the GPU for a RX6700XT which would be perfect for 1440p 144Hz. They're in good stocks also.

You won’t find any at MSRP anywhere, likely for the the foreseeable future. Plus, MSRP is different for FE as partner cards and FE cards are as rare as unicorns these days

FEs sold out a long time ago, they only manufacture a few of them right at the start then stop production.
