Ive never heard problems with signal etc, occasionally they dont work from the start but they just send out a new one free of charge

Mine won't pick up a signal where my 3 year old one picked it up 4/5 bars. I ended up having to buy some homeplugs which work perfectly. It might be my old router, but who knows..

Edit; Scrap that, i just noticed you put PCI-E. Mines the normal PCI one.

the pci and pci-e makes no difference in performance or use. it just there as an option. they both do the same thing.

I have the plain old PCI card and it works fine through two solid brick walls (only has to travel approx 7 metres distance though) on one floor and also fine similar distance down one floor.
