what gaming headset should I get?

hi,
I am in the market for a gaming headset for my PS3 and later, a high end gaming PC.
I need to be able to find it in Huddersfield tomorrow and would like not to pay more than £40, and would like true 5.1 surround sound.
I've been looking at this;

True 5.1 and 40 quid doesn't relate
it's simple, TRUE 5.1 (or 7.1) for over 100 quid and only if you want to hear the correct noises

Just a point: I have some decent headphones for music.
the fore-mentioned headset does work in true 5.1 (my friend has one and i tried it through virtual barber shop)

it would not work, unfortunately, as I need usb connection for the PS3

just a question; would the tritton you mentioned be able to connect to ps3 as well as PC.

No, the Trittons wouldn't They require a usb port, headphone Jack, mic jack, then 2 others for the sub and something else. Meant to be used with a soundcard
