Same here, I've got two 2TB ones in my rig, one for games in W7 and one for games in W8.1.

I got the barracuda and caviar black. The black seems faster when loading games.

Just wondering guys, is the WD green alright for storing games not often played, or would I be better off getting another barracuda? I just need a bit more storage space that isn't too expensive.

I use a Green for storing files, nothing else. I don't think I'd use one for games to be honest.

Hmm, I might get a larger barracuda drive then, the one I've got seems good enough :) Should I buy a large one (2tb or so) or just grab another 500gb model and put them in raid with the one I already have?

Get a 2TB! And get a hybrid one, they give a nice improvement :D and only £20 or so extra.

I've already got an SSD and loading times seem alright at the moment :) I have a bit of a hate for hybrid drives since they only have a tiny bit of flash memory, they only have 8gb usually which isn't worth £20 more :)

Its 12GB on mine and it does make a nice bit of difference for things that are commonly used. And as I've explained in other threads, it acts effectively as a double buffer which can greatly improve speeds on larger files.

But i've still got an SSD, so all my common programs are on there :) I'd Definitely get one if I didn't have an SSD though (or at least consider it).

I have an SSD and one of them, it helps game loading speeds by a couple of seconds, even more on Titanfall which always seems to take ages.
