What layout do fans come installed in by default?

Just ordered a new rig to get caught up after not having upgraded my current rig for 9 years (I know 🥲). And decided to get the Corsair 5000x with 5x additional fans for it.

This case has both a top and a side mount alongside the front for its fans.

I'm just curious if they will install the fans on the front and side as intake by default or if they will put the front a exhaust?

Hey man, it all depends if you also got a liquid cooler (AIO). If you did, the radiator with the included fans will most likely be installed on top and all your other fans will be installed for rear exhaust and side

I've opted to go all air only on this build, using a traditional but still effective Hyper 212 cooler

I would strongly recommend getting advice on the build as a whole rather than individual parts. The cooling depends on the case which depends on the internals etc etc etc, it all has to balance.
