What to buy?

I am stuck between buying a 8970m crossfire laptop or a M-ITX gaming rig. I do not have any room for a desktop and actually dislike towers anyway, having only three days until purchase i have not come to any decision. I like the idea of the laptop due to easy usage on my desk, however, the rig would have a R9 290 in it, but, i really hate the maintenance that comes with it, many will say there is not much but a few moments of dusting here and there, guess i am lazy and just find it a freaking hassle.

Get the laptop then :)
If you're not concerned with the additional heat and potential difficulties procuring any future upgrades in the laptop then go for it

Cooling pad sorts the heat pretty well and in all honesty you'll not need to upgrade quickly if you go for a descent spec to start with

I don't do any maintenance to my desktop, I think I only attempted to clean ilwith a can of air once in almost 2 years.:(
I think a laptop needs more care with dust than a desktop

Be nice to have some super advanced time calender for the next mobile graphics, read that a 290m is around the corner. If i do buy the laptop, of which i am leaning towards, i hope it lasts for two years or clevo decide a new bios for the future would be nice.

My experience of building rigs for around ten years, there is always dust, even if its minimal. I always hoovered and cleaned the GPU fan and case etc, maybe i'm a clean freak, who knows.

I am not saying there is no dust but as long as you have a decent case you don't need to clean it very often. If you are a clean freak you are probably going to open the laptop and clean the fans regularly.

Just me then, once a month may need to be implemented. Anyway, more thinking needs to be done, so bye bye for now.

Dust in a laptop will cripple it more than a desktop! It will overheat crazy and then start clocking itself down and lag badly. But that said, I also prefer laptops over desktops just for the reason of being able to game in my bed, kitchen and desk all with the same machine. Go with an alienware!
