Smart?

I desperately need to update my smart clothes wardrobe this weekend. And clothes shopping isn't particularly enjoyable for me.

I already have some nice black shoes, I was thinking of Burtons and/or next for shirts n trousers.

Any ideas? damn I hate clothes shopping -.-

oh I cant do it online, as I need to try stuff on first. (long arms lol) shurrup.

thanks in advance guys n girls.

Zara, H&M, TopMan...even Gap is ok? I rarely buy smart clothes these days, did buy a suit recently from H&M you wouldn't know it was £50.

Bale scores a nice goal for RM....

I was in Next the other day and noticed they had some nice suits. But I'm the same as you, I can't stand shopping for clothes (or shopping at all tbh)

How fussy are you about it being new, or is just smart OK? On the very rare occassions I need something smart I try a local Cancer Research, MacMillan Nurses etc charity shop. A lot are very helpful and even if they dont have a proper fitting room will often let you use a room out the back or their loo, plus you can end up with a bargain and help a good cause.

Just get to M&S and stop beating around the bush :D

Next/Burtons too for some variety.

My whole wardrobe used to be full of Blue Harbour (M&S). Met the GF and it transitioned to full of Next...now she moans about that! So went full circle back to M&S, just Autograph now :D

I bought a smart pair of trousers for £20 from M&S, was cheaper than burton, next and river island.
River Island had some nice shirts but they were expensive for what I need them for.

Depends on your budget. Due to work I have to buy smart clothes and that's basically what I have nothing else :( since I hardly go out. I would get a blazer and some shirts.

Waistcoat. Get a waistcoat! Goes well with a suit, and then you can rock it without the jacket and look super smooth :D

Matalan's alreet if you want cheap but smart appearing. I remember my last interview I looked at a Grey suit in Burton for £110, looked at an identical one in Matalan for £50. Went between the shop 3 or 4 times to keep comparing quality, comfort, etc and could not tell the difference at all.

Everything i buy comes from Matalan, they do some fairly decent clothes, it's cheap and it's next door to where i work so i don't have to waste my time off shopping :D

Apart from underwear which i update regularly i don't really bother much with buying new clothes, probably a couple of pair sof confortable trousers, a couple of tee's and a coupe of basic shirts a year. But then again i work +60 hours a week and wear a uniform for that so 90% of the time i'm not at work i'm either in a dressing gown or some kind of lounge wear :p

lol thanks for the replies chaps, hmm a suit, well I do need a suit. So will do.

As for a waistcoat. I will look a total duche wearing a waistcoat. lol thanks but erm no thanks. I think that will be a bit overdressed for what I do.

@steaky, yes i have a missus but I think I best choose the smart stuff lol.
@keynes, a blazer sounds far too fashionable? I was planning on going for nice trousers and shirts but no tie. With a smart suit for when required.

I'm very lucky in my current job. I can basically where whatever the hell I like. Usually I wear a suit - but on days when I'm feeling a little down I just throw on some jeans and a tee. This week has all been jeans and a tee, sadly.
