The 6950 is better than the 560Ti 1GB in benchmarks, but there is not much info out there in regards to the 560Ti 2GB comparing this directly with the 6950. I'd assume that the 6950 would still be better from the bits and pieces about the web I have seen. The 560Ti 2GB would mainly increase performance on higher resolutions. If you can afford it, push for the 570.

Let us know what info you find out, and I'd try some other forums too to see what type of feedback you get.

Rep me if this was helpfull. ^^

but if i was to scrap 3-d?

either a 2gb 560 ti or a 2gb 6950.

what mobo are you going for? you could get the standard p8z68 v mobo, and a 850w corsair, so you could crossfire 1950's in a year or so, 6950s are about 200 quid at the moment, so the prices are dropping, equally, you can pick up a 2gb 560 ti for about the same, give or take a few quid depending on models, however, note that for two 560's you will need a sli compatible mobo, so that would add a few quid but worth it if ya ask me.

I'd certainly consider the future possibility of sli/crossfire. :)

I am essentially a music know it all, and need something I could potentially do some music production. my freinds say the same about my £300 headphones, but I notice these things.

I wouldn't mate, the soundcard would be sat right between the two gpu's! not good at all the cooling, esp the top gpu which has limited airflow already due to the card below, then a soundcard right below would likely block one of the fans on the card.

If you want a soundcard, get a PCI-E sound card mate. but like wozza says you probably dont need it, infact give me two mins and i'll edit in the asus site, you could get ya self a nice asus soundcard for music,

edit - right have a look, but i dont know the prices, the bottom two may be expensive though.

I will consider about the soundcard at a later date, after I have bought the pc. I may get an external soundcard.
