You don't need a new PC if you only built one in 2019, it's only half way through it's lifespan.

The whole point of a custom PC is that you can upgrade it to maintain performance.

What do you use the PC for? What make and model monitor are you pairing it with?

I get what you are saying about keeping the original PC and just upgrading, but i have decided a totally new PC is the way to go, especially if i decide to go with AMD.
Also, i have promised my daughter i would sell her it for a reduced fee.

I do have a couple of questions, well just one really, i have my heart set on the Fractal Design Torrent but i am forced to go with an air cooler, i have seen that it it possible to move the 2 180mm fans to the bottom and fit the resize bracket, enabling you to fit an AIO cooler to the front. Would it be possible to have a custom request and do that?
If that is not possible, what are the air coolers that you supply like? are the efficient and are they quiet?

I forgot, i mainly game, watch the odd movies etc.

Ah, that's an entirely different matter then, fully support that!

You definitely want AMD over Intel, the 7800X3D is the gaming champion right now, runs far cooler and uses substantially less energy.

The Torrent can support AIO's up to a 420mm radiator, on the front or bottom, I'm not entirely sure why PCS don't allow you to to be honest.

I would definitely run it past PCS.

But assuming they would agree to mounting a 240mm radiator on the bottom as is required by the 7800X3D, this is the build I'd suggest keeping everything else the same (if they won't fit the AIO, then just order the most basic air cooler and you could fit it yourself.

I am still mulling a couple of things over but, the Corsair 1200W RMx Shift doesnt fit in the Torrent as it has a top mounted PSU with a designated area for cable management in the standard position.

Not sure what you mean? Fits fine. There's no such thing as top mounted, the PSU fits wherever the case fits it weather that's the top or bottom, or side compartment.

Yes, perfectly fine, doesn't change performance at all, you just adjust intake / outtake directions on the fans.

Whoops!!!!

This is with the H60 as the basic air cooler is out of stock. But the PCS 200 air cooler would be a better fit as would be a useable backup unit whereas the H60 can't cool a potato

Sorry my bad, after watching a few vids of people using it to build a system, i assumed you wouldnt be able to gain accesss to the modular fittings on the side, but after further searching i found an actual build with 1200RMx Shift installed.

One thing i would like to know is, when i proceed with my order, it says i will lose one or two of the USB ports on the front panel. Is there anything i can do to get the use of all ports?

Hopefully will be putting order in today, so hopefully everything will be set.

The only way is to either:

1. change the case to one that doesn't have 1 x USB-C and 4 x USB-A ports on top (such as the 5000X), or
2. change the motherboard to one with more USB headers (unfortunately that means the ROG Crosshair at an extra £300)
