Which processor to go for?

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at buying a notebook from PC Specialist and would like some input on what processor to get. I will be doing a bit of photoshop, playing the latest games BF3, fifa 12 F1 2011 etc... so it's really an all round notebook.

The processors I'm tied between are;

Intel® Core™i7 Dual Core Mobile Processor i7-2640M (2.80GHz) 4MB

or

Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-2670QM (2.20GHz) 6MB

I know the quad core will help with photoshop and other games that might make use of the 4 cores, however would I see better FPS in games from the faster dual core?

Thoughts please?

Id get the quad core if I was you, I dont think the fps you will gain from the 2.8 will be that noticable, the main factor for that will be the graphics card. CPU for em anyway, is only really noticable difference in a game like FSX but apart from that most games rely mainly on GPU.
