Which sound card do i have

I have an elitebook 8570p and am trying to find which soundcard is installed.

Have looked in device manager, and system infomation, and it just says idt hd audio. Have tried a few software identifiers, and the same.

But what is the actual soundcard, is it alc889, or something similar to that.

How do i find the soundcard. Many thanks!

The soundcard is part of the motherboard. If you look at the manufacturers specs it will give you the most info.

I need to know the actual sound card hardware itself.

The manufacturer, online reviews, hardware identifier programs, device manager just keep saying idt hd audio, but i want to know the actual chip / ic itself, id it alc889, or something like that

Ask HP as they actually make the laptop.

PCS Specialist won't know as they don't make HP laptops.

When you ask them, specify the full spec / model number since Elitebook 8570p may cover a lot of different specs.
