They’re flash bulbs. Used to have them on my first camera which was a throwaway my dad bought me from a junk sale.

Yeah magicubes, used to be 2 different types, had an inbuilt battery/capacitor that fired them, I had them on compact 126 format camera

Electric pencil sharpener, the things you put a pencil in and it sharpens it for you. Super high tech, I know. I remember having one that looked a lot like the camera flashes Martin put in his post. This wasn’t it but it was the first result that came up on google 😂

Pffft electric pencil sharpeners donkey kong jr was the latest tech when I was a young lad remember thinking this is it they reached the pinacle of gaming how can gfx improve !!! Where as most of you older chaps had more realistic vr experience

ironically there is a case to be made for older games being far more fun than today's, least yrs ago games did not focus on simulation but on arcade knock about fun,
