WiDi?

Do your laptops come with WiDi as standard?

I've ordered an Optimus IV 17.3" and just wondered if this comes with it as standard or is it an addon?

If it's an add-on I can't see anywhere in the amend section to find out how much it is to add.

It looks like it's built into any 3rd generation intel cpu. Woop woop!

I dont have a optimus but im pretty sure it doesn't have WiDi, i think there is usually a dedicated button to enable the WiDI and i cannot see one on the ordering page.

I havent seen WiDi on any PCS hardware only seen it on other brands like DEL to be honest. All i know is you need Ivy Bridge to have it.

Its not mentioned on the Clevo Website either, a couple of forums say that WiDi is disabled in Clevo Laptops and one of the French websites has it down as an extra with the Wifi Card

Suggest that there is hardware requirements above just having the 3rd Gen CPU.

Good call buddy!

After researching the options it seems the cheapest wifi card doesn't offer it. By upgrading for £9 to the Advanced-N 6235 wireless card, this supports WiDi.
