WIFI adapter query

This might be a dumb question but if i have a INTEL® WI-FI 6 AX200 wifi adapter as part of a custom build does this mean the LAN ports will not be there?
If I had this adapter to give the desktop wifi capabilities can I till connect the PC to the router with an ethernet cable?
The PC will be connected via a cable Ive ran through the house but if the cable breaks it would be good to just be able to connect to wifi until i get the cable replaced.

What do these WIFI adapters connect it to in the PC, Im guessing the mother board but which slot? I dont want to get a WIFI adapter if it takes up something that Ill need for something else.
If the adapter wont prevent me from connecting PC via LAN port or wont take up a slot of some kind that could be needed for something else then getting the INTEL WIFI 6 adapter fitted for £18 is worth it.

This might be a really dumb question so hopefully I get a good answer.

Ethernet ports are part of every motherboard so they’re on all PCs
