Will I lose my place in the queue changing from a 3080 to a 3080 strix?

Hey, I've been waiting for 44 days now in pre-production, obviously I completely understand the difficulties that the team at PCS are going through and I'm not at all trying to put them down in this thread. Anyways, I have been waiting a while and I've began to get second thoughts about going for the cheaper option if I'm going to wait a quarter of a year for it, I have more money now than I did at the time and honestly I just kind of want to change my build a little.

If I make amendments to my order in pre-production I'm presuming that doesn't put me at the back of the queue, however, a better question to ask would be, would changing to the strix put me at the back of the queue for the 3080, or do I keep my position? Has anyone had any experience with changing it to be put at the back of the queue

No, adjusting the GPU shouldn't change your place in the queue.

The strix will be a guaranteed long wait though, far longer than the 3080, there are various threads explaining why the strix series are the worst stocked of the lot.
