Windows 10 Trial Activation Options

I have Ordered the Optimus VII Laptop with PCS with no operating system.

I have found out that they install a trial version of windows 10 for testing.
I have a student licence for windows 10 with dreamspark,

So what i'm asking is can i add the key from that to the trial version to keep it all installed with drivers etc? Or do i need to do a full clean install?

I would advise against it. The Windows system PCS install is for testing purposes only, it may not be complete nor fully functional. In any case your product key will only work if the test version is exactly the same (Home or Pro) as the student version you have.

I would strongly advise that you install your student copy and all the drivers, removing the test version completely. It's not worth the risk running an operating system you can't fully trust.

OK wow I'm glad I asked in that case. Thanks allot for clearing that up for me. Bit worried about the drivers as i seen people having BSOD with this laptop when installing drivers themselves.
