So Microsoft in their infinite wisdom have injected ads into Windows 11 in the latest release. It's proper intrusive as well, had one as a huge pop up for office even though I have 365 installed.
So thought would give some settings to change if you want to reduce or completely remove it.
To disable ads:
Settings > Personalization > Start and turn off the toggle for “Show recommendations for tips, app promotions, and more.”
To fully block the search from including anything web related, which also HUGELY speeds up the start menu:

- Open regedit. ...
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows. ...
- Create a new key (aka folder) called Explorer and navigate to it. ...
- Create a new DWORD (32-bit) registry key and name it DisableSearchBoxSuggestions.
