Windows 8 Defragmenter - How Many Passes?

Sorry, I was unsure where to put this questions as it's not so much a support question about my labtop but about the OS on it; Windows 8.

KK, well at 7AM this morning I thought I would defragment my C drive just because I can.

One hour and one half later it is still going. When I checked on it the progress stated it was on 'Pass 7' (17%).

Pass 6? How many passes is it going to do? :sleep1:

10 passes and complete: 3% fragmented.

The native defragmenter may be slow but I give it its due; it's thorough!
