Now I have my new pc im not liking windows 8.

Where is the good old start button which has run control pannel programes etc?? can you change the view back to classic xp look?

The main home page is a pain and to shut machine down takes about 5 clicks LOL.

On a good note it takes 10 seconds to boot up:tt2:

You can add a shutdown app to the start page, can't remember how but you can youtube it to find out.

Unfortunately you can not "enable" the start menu/button as it has been totally eradicated in Windows 8 as from I think around the Windows 8 RC versions.

It's essentially Windows7 with an unnecessary GUI stuck on top. Whilst the tiles are kinda cool - it's made for touch not desktop and some work needs to be done!

Press the windows key + x

You don't need a launcher, just learn the shortcuts.. Try windows key with each letter and youll soon realise you dont need the start button
