Windows DVD media discs

Investigating a new custom laptop with Windows8 64bit.

Do you get the discs to re-install windows or perhaps a hidden media install partition?

If no discs, then how can I re-install windows if there is a problem or a HD upgrade?

You get supplied with an OEM Windows disc.
